First Dates Hotel fans horrified after woman calls 999

First Dates Hotel Gareth Channel 4

The new series of First Dates Hotel got underway on Channel 4 tonight (Tuesday) and viewers were appalled within the first few minutes.

The spin-off to the hit Channel 4 programme First Dates sees the restaurant and bar staff travel to Italy to assist hopeful romantics on their quest for love in an idyllic setting. The series was first filmed in Castillon-du-Gard in France, switching to a new location for later seasons.

First up was ex-military paramedic Gareth from South Wales, and an anecdote he told the camera left viewers reeling.
