JAIPUR: Parliamentary affairs minister Shanti Kumar Dhariwal told the assembly on Thursday that FIRs have been registered against nine officers of the Rajasthan Accounts Service and one officer has been suspended from 2018 to January 2022 for various irregularities. During Question Hour, the minister said that FIRs have been registered against the officers of Rajasthan Accounts Service after irregularities came to the fore and an officer Umaid Singh has been suspended the other day.
He said that investigation is going on against Umaid Singh in three cases under 16 CCA and in one case there is an allegation of embezzlement in which FIR has been registered.
He also clarified that action for recovery of the amount embezzled and suspension could be taken only after the investigation of 16 CCA against this officer is completed.
He also said that both recovery and suspension would be done after the allegations were proved in the inquiry report. He told that the matter is not only of embezzlement of Rs 56 lakh, in one case there is a serious case of embezzlement of more than Rs 10 crore apart from tampering with documents against Umed Singh.
Dhariwal said that this case is of criminal nature and it is being investigated by the Anti-Corruption Bureau. He said that only after an investigation in the matter, the state government gives the approval to file a chargesheet. He said that after the prosecution is sanctioned in the courts, only if convicted, the proceedings of suspension take place as per the rules.
