Firefighters have rushed to the scene of a Scots nursing home following a kitchen blaze in the premises. The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) raced to Matthew Fyfe Care Home in Dunfermline at around 3.22pm on Thursday, July 21.
They immediately dispatched four engines as well as a height appliance and crews worked to extinguish the fire within the kitchen. Images from the scene appear to show police vehicles parked on the street outside the care home.
Fire crews left after ensuring that the area was made safe and family members of residents were assured that nobody was injured.
An SFRS spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 3.22pm on Thursday 21 July to reports of a fire within the kitchen area of premises in Broomhead Drive, Dunfermline.
“Operations control immediately mobilised four fire appliances and a height appliance to the location and firefighters extinguished the fire. Crews left the scene after ensuring the area was made safe.”
