Firefighters were called to a kitchen blaze in a Nottinghamshire home. A fire engine was deployed to the incident in Arnold shortly before 6.40pm today (January 11).
The crew was alerted to the fire by a smoke alarm at the property. The alarm had been triggered by a small kitchen fire that had broken out in the home.
The fire service said the flames had been extinguished by the time firefighters arrived. They then carried out an inspection to ensure the home was safe and that its occupants were well.
