Fire crews have been raced to tackle a blaze stemming from a block of flats in the Scots capital.
Emergency services were scrambled to the ongoing incident on North High Street, Musselburgh, Edinburgh, at 5.33pm today.
Firefighters currently remain at the scene as they battle the flames.
Images show multiple fire engines in attendance as various residents are stood outside their homes while smoke billows from the building.
It is currently unknown if there are any injuries.
Scottish Fire and Rescue confirmed there are still four appliances present.
A spokesperson for SFRS told Edinburgh Live : "We are currently in attendance at a fire on North High Street in Musselburgh. The call came in at 17:33 this evening and four appliances were deployed.
"Crews remain on the scene at this time."
Locals reported seeing fire engines at the area, opposite the Popular Ship Inn pub, as well as police and the Scottish Ambulance Service.
