Fire crews are still battling a blaze at a former Scots hospital, with residents evacuated from their homes.
Emergency services scrambled to Calside Street, in Paisley, Renfrewshire shortly before 8pm on Wednesday, March 16.
Four fire engines were sent to the derelict Royal Alexandra Infirmary annexe , along with two aerial appliances.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said initially crews were battling flames at a 'derelict building' on the street.
They added that residents in the area have had to be evacuated from their homes.
Officers confirmed the exact location to the Record on Thursday morning with one appliance still at the scene.
Locals reacted to the 'massive' fire, with flames and smoke seen billowing into the air from the miles away.
One wrote: "Why do all these old beautiful buildings get left for so long to rot and then eventually set on fire?"
Another added: "Jeez oh that looks bad."
A third commented: "Heartbreaking . . . didn't think much was left to burn?"
Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) chiefs did not disclose the cause of the fire.
No injuries have been reported at this stage.
A spokesman told the Record: "We were called to attend a fire at the derelict Royal Alexandra Infirmary annexe in Calside Street, Paisley at 7.56pm.
"Four appliances and two aerial appliances attended.
"One appliance is still on the scene.
"No injuries have been reported.
"Information relating to the cause of the fire would not come from SFRS."
