Fire crews are in attendance at a three-storey block of flats after a blaze broke out on the top floor.
Emergency services were called to the scene on Aberdour Road in Dunfermline, Fife, shortly before 11am on Saturday.
The occupants of the affected flat have managed to escape while a number of residents have evacuated the building.
It is not currently known whether anyone was injured however three fire appliances remain at the scene in the Duloch area of the town.
A spokeswoman for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: “We were called at 10.52am to a flat on Aberdour Road in Dunfermline.
“There are three appliances in attendance from Dunfermline Fire Station. Two senior officers are also in attendance.
“The fire is within a block of flats that consists of three floors. All persons are accounted for meaning there is no one else inside the flat.”
She added that six firefighters are using breathing apparatus alongside two hose reel jets and a main jet to extinguish the blaze.
