A fire has broken out at a famous Ayrshire Irish pub.
Emergency crews have raced out to Prestwick's Scruffy Duffy's on the town's Main Street this morning to reports of a blaze.
The entrance to Gardiner Street has been sealed off are firefighters work to extinguish flames.
Pictures have emerged from the scene showing three appliances, with one parked on Gardiner Street next to the popular boozer.
An eyewitness told Ayrshire Live: "You could see thick black smoke pouring out of the pub earlier this morning.
"The firefighters seem to have got it under control but you can still smell burning from the scene."
A spokesperson for Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: "We were alerted at 8.43am on Wednesday, 22 February to reports of a building fire on Gardiner Street, Prestwick.
“Operations Control mobilised two appliances to the scene and firefighters extinguished a fire within a commercial premises.
“Crews remain on scene, working to make the area safe. No casualties have been reported.”
