A busy Salford road has been closed in one direction due to a large spillage of soap.
Fire crews were called earlier today to clear the A6 Broad Street junction Frederick Road due to a large spillage of soap. Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) have now closed the road to all inbound traffic to 'facilitate recovery' following the incident, which saw a truck had shed its load across the road from the Salford Crescent Station.
Local bus services including Go Northwest, Stagecoach, Diamond Bus and First Bus, are currently operating on diverted routes.
Pictures from the scene show a cordon in place around the spillage with two fire engines and police in attendance. Bus operating service Stagecoach have warned of 35 minute long delays on surrounding routes.
Stagecoach GM tweeted: "Routes 34/34A/38/50. Diversion inbound via Churchill Wy, Cross La, Liverpool St, Oldfield Rd then normal route. Outbound via Albion Way, Liverpool St, Cross La, Churchill Wy.
