Finnair warns of travel disruption as around 100 flights cancelled

Finnair will cancel approximately 100 flights over the next two days due a strike.

The Finnish airline, which operates flights to and from Manchester Airport, will cancel flights leaving Helsinki Airport on Sunday, November 20 and Monday, November 21. The Finnish Transport Workers' Union AKT has announced a strike affecting Finnair's cabin crew in Helsinki between 3pm on Sunday and 3pm on Monday.

Flight cancellations and rerouting of customers began on Saturday and work is continuing today. Customers will be informed of flight cancellations through contact information provided in bookings and will try to offer customers a new route to their destination.
