Finlay Bealham declares that Connacht will have to "meet fire with fire" to knock Leinster off their Champions Cup perch tomorrow evening.
The Ireland prop knew last Friday's Sportsground encounter was big time when he heard Foxtel were showing the game live in his native Australia.
He played the round of 16 first leg clash with a big smile on his face - and he says that has been key to producing the best form of his career this season.
Buoyed by his parents' recent visit - they saw him come on in the Six Nations against England and Scotland, before he showed them the Galway sights on a week off - Bealham can't wait to get stuck into a Leinster front row that could have Test regulars Andrew Porter and Rónan Kelleher back.
"I can't wait, it's going to be good craic," he smiled. "I know they have a few front row boys returning.
"Obviously, they had us under the pump a bit last week in the set piece and we've worked on those, but they have some boys coming back and it'll be a tasty encounter, and one I'm looking forward to.
"We need to be another level better, and that's in all areas of our game, defensively, set piece and in attack we have to bring it to another level.
"We have to meet fire with fire.
“I've been involved in a few teams that have beaten Leinster over the years. Every time we have beaten them, we have been really well prepared and everyone is across their detail early in the week so we can deliver that physicality on Friday.
“We are going to have to raise our game to a whole new level. We have to make it happen for ourselves.”
Last week's first leg felt like a major occasion for Bealham, who was born and bred in Canberra before moving to the westerners seven years ago.
"My dad was actually telling me it was on Foxtel, which is like Sky back in Australia," beamed the 30-year-old.
“Typically with the games you usually have to stream them online.
"But it was on the main television there - and when my dad told me that I was like, 'Oh, Jeez, it's on proper Foxtel in Australia.'
“It's travelling around the globe, lots of different eyes on the game which is brilliant."
Fortunately, folks back home would have seen Bealham play another barnstorming game.
He has been on top form at club and Test level this season and admitted: "I'm enjoying it the most that I have, in terms of coming in every day and having a smile on my face, having the craic with the lads and enjoying the process.
"I've been fortunate to get a few Ireland caps in the last 12 to 18 months which is obviously brilliant and a massive honour.
"I play my best rugby when I'm enjoying it. If I was stiff and nervous and in my shell I probably wouldn't play so good, but I'm a lot more confident in myself that I can really express my character in the group.
"If that can translate to good performances and give an edge to the boys, it's brilliant.
"I was going to say I'm another year older and another year wiser, but I don't know about the wiser bit!
"I just really enjoy the environment that Friendy (Andy Friend) and the coaches have created and I just relish how I can be myself.
"One of the best bits of advice I've got is to just be yourself and relish it. It's what I try to do, try to bring that energy to the lads and enjoy the work.
"I've been really fortunate to be involved with Ireland in the last 18 months, and a lot of that has come down to how I've been preparing and my attitude."
