Finland has decided to join France’s nuclear deterrence umbrella in a bid to bolster regional security in the face of uncertainty over the United States' commitment to Europe and NATO.
"Finland has decided to join forward deterrence," the two countries said in a joint statement on Monday issued after a meeting in Helsinki.
