The 2023 season hasn’t gone the way the Los Angeles Rams hoped it would, starting the year 4-6 in their first 10 games. They still do have a chance to right the ship and make it into the playoffs, though, so all hope isn’t lost just yet.
The Rams have an opportunity to inch closer to the .500 mark and a postseason berth today when they visit the Arizona Cardinals, a team they haven’t lost to on the road since 2014. A win would push the Rams to 5-6 and and keep them on the Seattle Seahawks’ tail in the NFC West, while a loss would be a massive setback for Los Angeles’ playoff hopes.
Can the Rams pull off the road win and take down the Cardinals for the season sweep? We’ll find out this afternoon at State Farm Stadium.

Final score prediction and best bet
In the Rams’ Week 6 win against the Cardinals, it was the running game that carried them to victory. Kyren Williams rushed for 158 yards in the win, 154 of which came in the second half alone. With Williams back, Sean McVay could choose to lean on his starting running back again and take some pressure off of Matthew Stafford, who’s banged up and struggling a little bit.
Defensively, Los Angeles has done a great job against Kyler Murray in the past, and that has to continue today. Murray missed the Week 6 battle at SoFi Stadium but now that he’s returned, he completely changes things for Arizona – and it’s why the Cardinals are just 2.5-point underdogs.
This is a game the Rams would love to win, being a divisional matchup against a weaker opponent. They just can’t commit costly turnovers, allow big plays to Marquise Brown and Rondale Moore, and they have to convert on third down.
Best bet: Kyren Williams to score a TD (+100)
Prediction: Rams 23, Cardinals 20
