Final pictures of ex-first minister Alex Salmond published

THE last pictures taken of former first minister Alex Salmond before his death in North Macedonia have been published.

Salmond had taking part in the Cutural Diplomacy Forum in Ohrid before he died on Saturday afternoon from a suspected heart attack aged 69. 

He is pictured on stage with a panel that included Mladen Ivanic, former chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovnia, and Katalin Bogyay, president of UNESCO's 36th General Conference and former UN and UNESCO ambassador of Hungary.

The discussion appeared to focus on "leadership, cultural bridges and legal frameworks in post conflict reconciliation".
