'Final Fantasy 7 Ever Crisis' Shutdown Threatens the Only Modern Way to Experience 'Before Crisis'

Square Enix has confirmed that "Final Fantasy 7 Ever Crisis" will officially end service on October 6, bringing another mobile game to a close. The announcement has disappointed players, but there's more than that.

In fact, players are concerned about what the shutdown means for "Before Crisis: Final Fantasy 7," one of the franchise's rarest and least accessible titles.
