Final day for lateral flow test kits to be collected from Bristol's mobile testing vans

Today is the last time you can pick up a lateral flow test kit from a mobile testing van in Bristol.

From 10 am until 4 pm, test kits can be collected on mobile testing vans situated at Bristol Temple Meads and Aldi on North Street, as well as the Bristol Rapid Test Centre. The council posted the warning this morning.

“Today (20 March) is the last day to collect lateral flow (rapid) test kits from the Bristol Rapid Test Centre or our mobile testing vans. Between 10am and 4pm today, the vans will be at:

  • Bristol Temple Meads, BS1 6QF
  • ALDI, North street, BS3 1TF”

You can still pick up rapid tests from the libraries or community centres until 1 April - but only if they have enough in stock.

Meanwhile, Bristol-born Health Secretary Sajid Javid confirmed on Twitter that invites for a Spring booster jab will be sent out to the following groups from tomorrow:

  • Over 75s
  • Residents in care homes for older adults
  • Immunosuppressed people

He wrote: "You will be contacted 6 months after your previous dose to top up your immunity."
