Film showcasing Scotland’s disappearing weaving industry praised globally

A DOCUMENTARY celebrating the workers and machines of Scotland's traditional weaving industry, while also exploring the urgency of preserving the disappearing craft, has been praised globally.

Director Callum McCulloch-Nowlan’s debut film The Weavers follows two parallel stories, one of 85-year-old Rob Beaton, who is Scotland’s oldest and longest-serving mill worker and that of a young apprentice who is learning the trade, and the ancient rhythms of the looms.
