Filippo Inzaghi has advised Rafael Leao to stay with AC Milan amid reports linking the Portuguese player with a move to Manchester City in the January transfer window.
Leao has been heavily linked with a transfer to City after impressing for the Italian giants, with the 23-year-old having registered seven goals and nine assists in 20 appearances this term. He also enjoyed a strong campaign last season and played a vital role in Milan winning the Serie A title - recording 26 goal contributions.
Meanwhile, Pep Guardiola's side have made a solid start to the season and currently sit second in the Premier League table, while also still competing in every respective cup competition.

While Leao has previously hinted at a move to the English top-flight in the future, he also expressed how happy he was in Milan. Now, Inzaghi - who made 300 appearances for Rossoneri - has claimed that the attacker would benefit from remaining at the San Siro.
"If I were him, I would stay. For me, Milan has always been the best. To wear that shirt, to play at San Siro," he told Corriere della Sera (via Pianeta Milan). "A few years ago, maybe you could think about aspiring to something more prestigious, because Milan was becoming great again, but now they won the Scudetto, they make their way in the Champions League.
"Leao is strong, but he can be even stronger. I hope he will be convinced. Here he can be a protagonist, at the centre of the project.
"The risk is that at City or Real he will then end up being one of many. If I could give him a piece of advice, I would tell him to become a flagbearer for Milan, something unique."
Leao is under contract with Milan until 2024, meaning that a move for the forward, in either January or the summer, is likely to be expensive.
