Audience members got rowdy as a fight broke out in the middle of a musical performance.
Ticket holders were left disappointed after their night was ruined by two members of the We Will Rock You audience brawling at Birmingham Hippodrome.
The scrap meant that the performance had to be halted whilst security intervened and dealt with the individuals involved.
Audience members branded the fight ‘ridiculous’, but - despite the disturbance - still praised the show.
Nicole (@123nec) wrote on Twitter : "Apart from the idiots fist fighting in the theatre, the cast of We Will Rock You smashed it last night and handled the situation so well.
“There was no need - it was such a shame for the cast. I recommend the show to anyone."
Agreeing, another eyewitness wrote: "We were there as well. Ridiculous behaviour!"
The Hippodrome has confirmed that a 'disturbance' took place in the auditorium during Saturday night's performance.
The Hurst Street theatre said officers attended, but West Midlands Police were unable to provide comment when approached.
A spokesperson for Birmingham Hippodrome said: "We can confirm that there was a disturbance in the auditorium during Saturday night’s performance of We Will Rock You. It required a show stop while the police and our on-site security intervened.
"Following the stoppage, the show went on as planned and those involved left the building. This was an isolated incident.
"The safety of our teams and audiences remains paramount and we continue to create wonderful experiences for our visitors.”
