FIFA World Cup 2026 Today Match Schedule (20 June): Check India time, streaming details and more

The battle for places in the FIFA World Cup 2026 Round of 32 intensifies on June 20 as the second round of group-stage fixtures gets underway. While some teams can book an early knockout berth with back-to-back wins, others are already fighting to keep their World Cup dreams alive after underwhelming starts.

Brazil and the Netherlands, two of the tournament favourites, head into crucial encounters looking for their first victories. Elsewhere, the USA, Australia, Morocco and Sweden will aim to build on positive opening performances and move closer to qualification.

A look into June 20 FIFA World Cup matches:

USA vs Australia

Group D leaders USA and Australia square off in one of the day's biggest fixtures after both began their campaigns with convincing wins.

The Americans brushed aside Paraguay 4-1, with Folarin Balogun leading the attack in style, while Australia defeated Türkiye 2-0 thanks to a disciplined all-round display. Christian Pulisic is expected to recover from a minor calf issue in time for kickoff, while the Socceroos will once again bank on the creativity of Nestory Irankunda and goalkeeper Patrick Beach, who made eight saves in the opener.

The winner will take a giant step toward the knockout stage.

Scotland vs Morocco

Scotland and Morocco meet in a high-stakes Group C clash with both sides eyeing a second positive result.

Scotland edged Haiti 1-0 in their opening game but struggled to create clear chances. Morocco, meanwhile, earned plenty of praise after holding Brazil to a 1-1 draw, with Ismael Saibari on target and the Atlas Lions looking the more dangerous side for large spells.

Steve Clarke is unlikely to make major changes, while Morocco will continue to rely on the attacking threat of Achraf Hakimi and Brahim Diaz.

Brazil vs Haiti

Brazil cannot afford another slip-up when they take on Haiti in their second Group C fixture.

Carlo Ancelotti's men were held to a 1-1 draw by Morocco and now need all three points before facing Scotland in their final group game. Brazil have dominated this fixture historically, winning all three previous meetings and scoring 17 goals.

Haiti impressed despite losing narrowly to Scotland and know defeat would leave their qualification hopes hanging by a thread.

Türkiye vs Paraguay

Both Türkiye and Paraguay enter this Group D encounter searching for their first points of the tournament.

Türkiye saw their eight-match unbeaten run come to an end against Australia, while Paraguay suffered a heavy 4-1 defeat to hosts USA in their first World Cup appearance in 16 years.

With USA and Australia already on three points, another defeat could leave either side on the brink of elimination.

Netherlands vs Sweden

The Netherlands face an in-form Sweden in a key Group F contest at Houston's NRG Stadium.

The Dutch settled for a 2-2 draw against Japan in their opener and now need a victory to stay in control of their qualification chances.

Sweden, however, arrive brimming with confidence after a dominant 5-1 victory over Tunisia. Another win would send the Scandinavians into the Round of 32, while a Dutch victory would set up a dramatic finish to the group.
