Football's world governing body FIFA has announced that they will implement new regulations later this year that limit the number of players clubs can loan in and out.
The radical plans, designed to put at end to 'player hoarding', are set to come into force in July after they are given final approval at next council meeting.
The new rules do not cover domestic loans, but FIFA has said national associations must bring their own regulations in line within three years - by July 1, 2025 at the latest.
