FIFA 23 World Cup TOTT (Team of the Tournament) leaks, release date and what we know

The FIFA 23 World Cup Team of the Tournament (TOTT) promo has been confirmed by EA Sports, with the promo set to be unveiled this week.

With the 2022 World Cup final scheduled for Sunday, December 18, 2022, the prestigious tournament will be coming to a close, and with that will come the end of World Cup-themed content in FIFA 23. So far, EA Sports has released five promos focused on the World Cup, and the Team of the Tournament (TOTT) promo is set to be the final one.

A World Cup Swaps event and Path to Glory were the first two promos released with some players still able to receive further upgrades in the latter, and Road to the World Cup, World Cup Stories and World Cup Phenoms promos have been released since. The World Cup Team of the Tournament promo will reward the best-performing players from the international competition with boosted player items in FUT 23.

The squad is expected to feature a host of players from the two finalists France and Argentina, but some of the squad has reportedly been leaked ahead of the official release, with a handful of surprise inclusion. So, what can we expect from the World Cup TOTT promo in FIFA 23?

Below are the latest leaks, confirmed release date, predictions and what we know so far.

FIFA 23 World Cup Team of the Tournament - everything we know

EA Sports confirmed in their World Cup press release that the Team of the Tournament would be the final World Cup-themed promo, celebrating the best performing players from throughout the competition with permanently boosted items. Players like Jude Bellingham, Bukayo Saka and Achraf Hakimi could've made the squad, but do the trio all featuring in the FIFA 23 World Cup Phenoms promo, they are likely to be excluded from selection in the upcoming TOTT promo.
