EA Sports are set to release the first TOTW squad of FIFA 23 tomorrow, coinciding with the launch of the FUT 23 Web App.
The FIFA 23 Web App release date has been confirmed by EA as Wednesday, September 21, 2022, so the first TOTW squad of FUT 23 will be available for FUT players to access when the new Web App is live. The FIFA 23 TOTW 1 squad is expected to be revealed and released into packs on Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at 18:00 BST, with some big names from the Premier League potentially set to be included.
Heung-Min Son scored a hat-trick as Spurs beat Leicester City 6-2, Kevin De Bruyne assisted two as Man City won 3-0 at Wolves, and Arsenal's William Saliba impressed again with a goal and clean sheet in a 3-0 victory over Brentford. Elsewhere, Robert Lewandowski impressed for Barcelona amongst other big names from around the world.
Like FIFA 22, the FIFA 23 TOTW's are set to include a Featured TOTW player, boosting a lower-rated player to a much higher rating than usual. Here are Mirror's FIFA 23 TOTW 1 predictions.
FIFA 23 Team of the Week 1 (TOTW 1) predictions
The FUT 23 TOTW 1 line-up will be picked on single performances only, so goals and assists are not added cumulatively within the TOTW period. Also, note that performances in domestic cup competitions do not count towards TOTW selection criteria.
Only one player from any one team can be included in a TOTW line-up, barring exceptional circumstances. Also, players included in either of the last two TOTW line-ups are ineligible, as are players who have featured in a recent FUT 23 promo, but with this being the first TOTW of FIFA 23, this won't impact any player selection.
This is just a FUT 23 TOTW 1 prediction, so there is no guarantee that any players mentioned below will be included.
- GK: Jeremias Ledesma (Cadiz) - Clean sheet, six saves and MOTM in 1-0 win
- RWB: Pablo Maffeo (Mallorca) - One goal, clean sheet and MOTM in 1-0 win
- CB: William Saliba (Arsenal) - One goal, clean sheet and MOTM in 3-0 win (Featured TOTW)
- LB: Iago (Augsburg) - One assist and clean sheet in 1-0 win
- RM: Jonas Hofmann (Borussia Monchengladbach) - Two goals and MOTM in 3-0 win
- CAM: Teji Savanier (Montpellier) - One goal, one assist and MOTM in 2-1 win
- CM: Kevin De Bruyne (Manchester City) - Two assists in 3-0 win
- LW: Cody Gakpo (PSV) One goal, three assists and MOTM in 4-3 win
- ST: Ciro Immobile (Lazio) Two goals, one assist and MOTM in 4-0 win
- ST: Robert Lewandowski (Barcelona) - Two goals and MOTM in 3-0 win
- LW: Heung-Min Son (Tottenham Hotspur) - Three goals and MOTM in 6-2 win
As always, more than 11 players had good individual games over the weekend, so other players that could feature in TOTW 1 are Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, Gerard Deulofeu, Inaki Williams, Paulinha, Federico Valverde, Borja Iglesias, Daichi Kamada, Carlos Vela and more.
The EA SPORTS FIFA Team of the Week is expected to be revealed and released into packs at 18:00 BST UK time every Wednesday throughout FUT 23.
