A brand-new FUT promo called 'Out of Position' is expected to be coming to FIFA 23 Ultimate Team following the conclusion of the Rulebreakers promo.
FIFA 23 may have only been out a month or so, but EA Sports has already released three different FUT promos in FIFA 23 Ultimate Team, with a fourth tipped to arrive in-game this week. So far in FIFA 23, EA Sports has released the Ones to Watch (OTW), Road to the Knockouts (RTTK) and Rulebreakers FUT promos, with the latter set to end at the end of this week.
In FIFA 22, the fourth promo released was Numbers Up, but the event received a poor reception from FIFA players, and a new promo, Out of Position, is expected to be released next. There are currently little to no details about the Out of Position promo. It's yet to be confirmed officially by EA Sports, with only reliable FIFA leak sources on social media announcing the event, as well as a potential release date and the 'official' card design.
As well as a projected release date, these social media sources have also claimed the promo could last two weeks in Ultimate Team. So what could we potentially expect from the Out of Position promo? Check out our predictions and expected release date below.
FIFA 23 Out of Position predictions and what we know so far
The current promo in FIFA 23 Ultimate Team, Rulebreakers, is set to end on Friday, October 28, 2022, meaning a new promo could begin on the same date. And, according to @InsidergamingIG, the Out of Position promo is indeed expected to be released on Friday, October 28, 2022.
According to Twitter page @LeanDesign_, an official card design has been 'confirmed' for the Out of Position promo. This card features a graffiti-like design, with the abbreviation 'FUT' featured on the card. The Promo is tipped to last two weeks in FUT, meaning like every two-week promo, two teams could be released, along with mini-releases, Squad Building Challenges and Objectives.
Based on the name of the rumoured promo, we expect that it will involve players receiving special cards in different positions to their normal cards, or with the new alternative positions in FIFA 23, it could give players new alternative positions. But, there is already a position-changing promo in FIFA Ultimate Team, called Shapeshifters.
Shapeshifters has been in FIFA Ultimate Team since FIFA 19, and it's unlikely Out of Position would be replacing it in-game, especially with the Shapeshifters promo tending to be released towards the end of a FIFA calendar. But, if the promo was to consist of giving players position changes, here are some players who we would like to see being included.
