The full Xbox Game Pass lineup for May 2023 has been revealed, with the final batch for the month including EA's last-ever FIFA title, FIFA 23.
Microsoft has revealed what Xbox Game Pass subscribers can expect for the back half of May 2023, now that the first May 2023 batch has launched. Xbox Game Pass subscribers who are subscribed to the Ultimate or PC tiers get EA Play free of charge, which comes in extremely handy (or extremely footy) this month, as FIFA 23 makes its way to Xbox Game Pass today. So if you're amongst the crowd that waits until a huge price drop, Xbox Game Pass has done you one better.
Even if you already own FIFA 23, don't despair, as Xbox Game Pass and EA Play are also offering an EA Play FUT Supercharge Pack to subscribers, a limited edition Pack which is not available from the FUT Store in FIFA 23 Ultimate Team. This pack contains 10 Gold Rare Players rated 80 or higher, in addition to a Player Pick between 4 TOTS Players rated 95 or higher on a 5 games loan.
With the Team of the Season (TOTS) promo currently ongoing in FUT, this pack comes at the perfect time for players trying to pack a TOTS item. There is some sad FIFA news too, as FIFA 21 is one of the five games that's been announced to leave Xbox Game Pass on Wednesday, May 31 (per the Xbox Wire post).
In perhaps the total opposite end of the video game spectrum, 2021's indie darling Chicory: A Colorful Tale was also part of the announcement, arriving on Xbox Game Pass on Tuesday, May 30. In the game you play as a small dog with a magical paintbrush to fill in a land devoid of colour – the concept may sound silly but the game is beloved, picking up multiple Game of the Year awards in 2021.
