FIFA 23 expected UK release date including pre-order early access and EA Play trial

With the 2022/23 football season almost upon us, EA Sports' next and last ever FIFA title will be released later this year.

FIFA 23 will be EA's final FIFA title, following the end of a 30-year partnership between Electronic Arts and FIFA, which was confirmed earlier this year. EA announced they are planning to release a brand new game named EA Sports FC, which is expected to be released in 2023. FIFA are also considering launching their own football simulation game.

FIFA 22 has been a major success for EA since its release in September 2021, but more features are expected to be included in the new game. EA started to trial crossplay on FIFA 22 in May which has led fans to believe that crossplay could be a feature in FIFA 23, making it's release highly anticipated by the FIFA community.

So, with FIFA 22 coming towards its end and the new football season upon us, when is FIFA 23 expected to be released? Let's take a look.

FIFA 23 expected UK release date

EA Sports have tended to release their new FIFA title on the final Friday in September, with the exception of FIFA 21, which was released on October 6, 2020. With this in mind, if EA were to release their final instalment of the FIFA franchise following the same pattern, FIFA 23 is expected to be released in the UK and worldwide on Friday, September 30, 2022 .

Like previous FIFA releases, the players who pre-order the game are likely to receive early access to FIFA 23, which could allow them to play the game as early as Monday, September 26, 2022 . In addition to pre-ordering the game, EA Play offers a 10-hour trial that players can access a week prior to pre-order early access for those who bought special editions of the game.

This means that if players have an active EA Play subscription, players could be able to play their 10-hour trial of FIFA 23 from Monday, September 19, 2022.

A lot of FIFA fans are expecting FIFA 23 to be one of the best FIFA releases to date based on rumours and leaks so far, with the biggest rumour being the addition of crossplay. Crossplay could feature across all game modes for the first time in FIFA franchise history in FIFA 23 after EA confirmed a crossplay trial on online seasons within FIFA 22 in May. Crossplay would allow players on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC/Stadia to play against players across different platforms.
