FIFA 23 new expected pre-order date and leaked pre-order bonuses for Ultimate Edition

With FIFA 22 approaching its final few months as the latest EA Sports FIFA title, eyes are already turning towards the next release, FIFA 23.

After a 30-year partnership between Electronic Arts (EA) and FIFA came to an end earlier this year, FIFA 23 is confirmed to be EA Sports' final FIFA title, with a brand-new game called EA Sports FC set to be the successor of EA and FIFA's gaming series. With FIFA 23 set to be EA and FIFA's final title together, fans have high expectations for the upcoming release, and ahead of its release, the pre-order bonuses from the Ultimate Edition have been reportedly 'leaked' online.

Since May, crossplay has been trialled in FIFA 22, leading fans to believe and hope that crossplay could be a brand-new feature in FIFA 23. As well as crossplay, a couple of new features have been 'leaked' about one of FIFA's most popular game modes, FIFA Ultimate Team, leaving fans excited for the release later this year.

So, with FIFA 23 set to be released in the coming months, when will the game become available to pre-order, and what could you get from pre-ordering the Ultimate Edition of the game? Let's take a look.

FIFA 23 expected pre-order date and available editions

There is yet to be any confirmed information regarding pre-order dates for FIFA 23, and if the release date was to follow the same pattern as FIFA 22, the game should've become available to pre-order from Sunday, July 10, 2022, but it wasn't. FIFA 21 and FIFA 20 were both available to pre-order in June, meaning we expect FIFA 23 to become available to pre-order on or around Sunday, July 17, 2022.

With previous FIFA title releases falling on the final Friday in September, with the exception of FIFA 21 which was released on October 6, 2020, FIFA 23 is expected to be released on Friday, September 30, 2022. Like previous FIFA releases, the players who pre-order the game are likely to receive early access to FIFA 23 which could allow them to play the game on Monday, September 26, 2022 , and according to leaks online, this could be available if you pre-order the Ultimate Edition.

According to reliable FUT leaker @FUTSheriff, players who pre-order the Ultimate Edition of FIFA 23 will receive eight added bonuses as well as the game, including One untradeable FIFA World Cup FUT Heroes player - only if you pre-order it before August 21, 2022.

Below is a full list of the leaked pre-order bonuses for FIFA 23 Ultimate Edition. None of these have been confirmed by EA Sports.

  • One Untradeable FIFA World Cup FUT Heroes player (November 11, 2022) - only if you pre-order it before August 21, 2022
  • Three days early access (Play from September 27, 2022)
  • One Untradeable Ones to Watch player (from September 30, 2022)
  • One TOTW1 player
  • 4,600 Fifa Points
  • FUT Ambassador Loan Player Pick (Heung-Min Son, Vinicius Jr, Alphonso Davies)
  • Kylian Mbappe Loan (5 games)
  • Career Mode Homegrown Talent

When pre-ordering FIFA 23, two different editions of the game are expected to be available - the Standard and Ultimate edition. FIFA 22 was the first FIFA since FIFA 15 to only have two different editions rather than three, with EA scrapping the Champions edition of the game.

A lot of FIFA fans are expecting FIFA 23 to be one of the best FIFA releases to date based on rumours and leaks so far, with the biggest rumour being the addition of crossplay. Crossplay could feature across all game modes for the first time in FIFA franchise history in FIFA 23, allowing players on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC/Stadia to play against players across different platforms.
