With the FIFA 22 Team of the Year release date drawing closer, the full Ultimate TOTY XI has apparently been leaked on social media.
FIFA 22 players were able to cast their vote for which stars should be included in this year's FUT 22 TOTY XI, with the fan vote first opening on Monday, January 10, 2022, with the fan vote officially ending on Tuesday, January 18, 2022. However, there has been some discussion in the FIFA community about exactly how much weight the fan vote holds in EA's TOTY selection, particularly after an ambiguous line was found in the fan vote terms and conditions.

In the terms and conditions of the EA Sports FIFA fan vote, there was a line that read "The final Team of the Year selection will be determined by community votes with possible input from EA", so players have been debating about the exact weight that the fan vote will have on the final FIFA 22 TOTY selection.
Ahead of the official EA Sports FIFA TOTY release date, which is confirmed to be Thursday, January 20, 2022, at 15:30 pm BST, various social media users are claiming that they have revealed the full FUT 22 TOTY squad in full, prior to the official reveal. This isn't a huge surprise, considering most of the major FUT 22 promos and TOTW reveals have been leaked prior to their release, but there is surprising news about the players who are apparently going to miss out on the FUT 22 TOTY squad this year.
For those who don't want to see any leaks or spoilers ahead of the FIFA 22 TOTY reveal, look away now.
FIFA 22 Team of the Year (TOTY) latest leaks
According to Twitter user @FutSheriff, who has been a reliable source for FIFA Ultimate Team information in the past, this is the confirmed FIFA 22 TOTY XI.
This Twitter user claims that there will be no Liverpool players included in the FIFA 22 TOTY XI, with even Mohamed Salah missing out on a TOTY item despite his extraordinary individual campaign, as Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappe is apparently set to be included instead.
The other major shocks in this 'leaked' FIFA 22 TOTY team are the goalkeeper and potentially in defence, with players like Edouard Mendy, Antonio Rudiger, Leonardo Bonucci, Trent Alexander-Arnold all apparently set to miss out if this 'leaked' squad is correct.
It's no surprise that PSG star Kylian Mbappe is in the FIFA 22 TOTY squad, as he is the game's official cover star after all, but it is a major surprise that Salah misses out, despite the Frenchman (43 goals) outscoring the Egyptian (37 goals) by six goals in 2021.
Cristiano Ronaldo will apparently miss out on a FIFA Ultimate Team TOTY squad for the first time ever, having been included in every single TOTY squad since FIFA 12. But, his long-term rival Lionel Messi is set to return to the Ultimate TOTY XI after missing out last year, but the Argentine was subsequently named as the TOTY 12th man in FIFA 21.
EA Sports' FIFA 22 TOTY fan vote ended on Tuesday, January 18 2022 at 7:59 am GMT, having first opened on Monday, January 10 2022 at 16:00 pm GMT, with fans able to vote for a TOTY from 80 TOTY nominees including Lionel Messi, Mohamed Salah, Robert Lewandowski and many more.
The FIFA Ultimate Team TOTY promo is one of the most popular FUT promos in the entire calendar, with the promo rewarding the best performing players from the previous calendar year with incredibly boosted FIFA Ultimate Team player items.
When the Ultimate TOTY is released, the players are normally released in position order, with the attackers entering FUT 22 first, followed by the midfielders and defenders - all given two days each in packs. But, it remains to be seen if this format will be followed again for FIFA 22.
