The brand new FUT Captains promo is coming to FIFA 22, with EA Sports confirming the reveal and start date for the new promo.
According to previous rumours and leaks on social media, the new FIFA 22 FUT Captains promo could reportedly see real-life captains and former captains from major clubs given special upgraded player items in FIFA 22 Ultimate Team, and FUT Heroes player items are also rumoured to be involved in the promo with new, upgraded player items. After the end of the Fantasy FUT promo on Friday, April 1, 2022, there was no new promo released by EA Sports.
On Wednesday, April 6 2022, EA Sports uploaded a brand new loading screen to the FIFA 22 Ultimate Team game mode, confirming that the brand new FUT Captains promo will be coming to FUT 22 at 18:00 PM BST on Friday, April 8, 2022. The FUT 22 loading screen also showed off two FUT Captains card designs.

One of the card designs appears to have the same small logo as what appears on the FIFA 22 FUT Heroes player items, which suggests upgraded versions of these items could be coming as part of the FUT Captains promo. And, social media users are already claiming to have leaked the FUT Heroes items.

FIFA 22 FUT Captains confirmed release date
It has been confirmed that the FUT Captains promo will be the next FIFA 22 Ultimate Team promo, with the event confirmed to be beginning on Friday, April 8, 2022 at 18:00 PM BST.
A new FUT 22 loading screen showed off two brand new card designs, but no confirmation has been made regarding the FUT Captains content by EA Sports just yet, but like every promo in FUT 22 so far, a selection of themed Objectives and Squad Building Challenges are expected to be released throughout the duration.
It has also been confirmed that the FIFA 22 FUT Captains promo will feature two teams, Team 1 and Team 2, with the loading screen revealing that Team 1 will be released this week. Following the conclusion of the FUT Captains promo, the mega Team of the Season (TOTS) promo is expected to be released into FIFA 22 Ultimate Team.
Also, there could potentially be another swaps token event released alongside the FUT Captains promo, a scheme which we've seen in FUT 22 for a handful of promos, including FUT Birthday, Future Stars and Winter Wildcard.
FIFA 22 FUT Captains leaks
According to the reliable @FutSheriff on Twitter, the Fantasy FUT Promo is expected to be based around captains of football clubs in real life, awarding them with upgraded player items. Along with the captains, EA are set to release a new set of FUT Heroes player items, giving some of the current FUT Heroes upgraded cards.
Only a few players have been reportedly 'leaked' on social media so far ahead of the official release, with information on the promo yet to be released by EA Sports. According to @FutSheriff on Twitter, Tottenham's Hugo Lloris, Liverpool's Jordan Henderson and AS Monaco's Wissam Ben Yedder are all expected to be included in the promo.
A selection of other players are rumoured to be included according to various sources on social media, with all of these players only rumoured to be included, with no one confirmed by EA.
