The FIFA 22 Fantasy FUT promo has officially begun with the release of the Fantasy FUT Team 1 squad on Friday evening.
EA Sports has today launched a brand new FIFA 22 promo named Fantasy FUT, which appears to be similar to the 'What If' promo which was released in FIFA 21 Ultimate Team last year, in that this new promo features loads of initially boosted dynamic player items that could upgrade even further based on certain real-life performance criteria being met. If every upgrade criteria are met, these Fantasy FUT player items could be upgraded by plus three overall ratings.

EA mistakenly gave FIFA 22 players a Fantasy FUT Christian Eriksen player item earlier on Friday, following an apparent error. It appears that every FIFA 22 player who has a rare gold version of Eriksen saw this item morph into the 90-rated Fantasy FUT version of Eriksen. EA Sports are yet to acknowledge the mistake.
The Fantasy FUT Team 1 squad has been revealed and released into packs on Friday, March 18, 2022 at 18:00 PM GMT. Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford features in Team 1 of the Fantasy FUT promo, with the England international having a 93-rated Fantasy FUT player item that can upgrade even further. Manchester City defender John Stones also features in Team 1 with an 90-rated item.

Fantasy FUT players will earn a +1 OVR upgrade if they make three appearances in their next five domestic league games, as well as a +1 OVR upgrade if they make an appearance in a team win in one of their next five domestic league games
The third potential +1 OVR upgrade is based on players’ individual performance in their specific position:
- For attackers and midfielders, one goal or assist in their next five domestic league games
- For defenders and goalkeepers, one clean sheet in their next five domestic league games
The first Fantasy FUT squad is available now until 6pm GMT on Friday March 25, 2022 in FIFA 22 Ultimate Team, with the second to follow starting March 25th at 6pm GMT until April 1st at 6pm GMT. You’ll also find additional players to unlock through Squad Building Challenges and Objectives throughout the two-week campaign.
