Leeds United are reportedly chasing the signature of Feyenoord winger Luis Sinisterra this summer. The Colombia international has been linked with a move to Elland Road by Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf and could well be seen as a replacement for Raphinha, should the Brazilian leave West Yorkshire.
Sinisterra is highly thought of in Rotterdam and he certainly caught the eye last season, finishing the campaign as the club’s top goalscorer. He scored 23 goals in all competitions with 11 coming during the club’s run to the Europa Conference League final.
The winger has been linked to a host of clubs this summer, with Arsenal being one side said to be keen earlier this year. Everton have also been rumoured to be interested in the 23-year-old as they look to replace Richarlison, who joined Tottenham Hotspur last week.

The Colombian emerged through the ranks at South American outfit Once Caldas before making the move to Feyenoord in 2018 for a reported fee of €2 million. Feyenoord would demand a price of between €20m and €30m for Sinisterra and if he were to leave De Kuip this summer, it would be for a club record fee, usurping the total they received for Dirk Kuyt in 2006.
Here, Leeds Live take a look at what has been said previously about Whites target Sinisterra.
Jaap Stam, former Feyenoord coach
“I didn't have the impression that everyone still believed in this boy, but after a few training sessions I knew that I could use him very well,” Stam told Voetbal International. “I just saw an excellent player with good technique and individual action, who also gave his best.
“What are the players who make the difference? The guys who are able to outplay an opponent. Luis has those qualities and that sets him apart. Which players can you name that have something special? Anthony, Madueke, Gakpo and Luis. Those are the attackers who create something.”
John de Wolf, Feyenoord assistant coach
“A very pleasant person, a cheerful boy with exceptional qualities,” he said, as per Ebonyst.com. “I sometimes see him without a shirt. Then I think: ‘I don’t want to run into that’. He can make something out of nothing’,
“He is a pearl and can become much more dominant.”
Mikos Guka, journalist for AD Sportwereld in the Netherlands
“He had a great season, very strong in European games and good in the competition, with great statistics and he is the only player (at Feyenoord) in attack who can create chances out of nowhere,” he told El Tiempo. “Sinisterra has become a crowd favourite in Rotterdam and looks set to make the step up to bigger competition.
“His weak point seemed to be helping to defend with the intensity that the coach demands of his players, but he is also taking steps there, and what stands out the most is his physical capacity,.”
Arie Haan, Former Netherlands international and Feyenoord coach
“I was also lucky enough to be able to play with very good teams in almost every final because there was often an exceptional player in my team," he told De Telegraaf, as per Voetbal Primeur. "That was Johan Cruijff at Ajax and Rob Rensenbrink at Anderlecht. That one exceptional player often makes the difference.
"(Sinisterra) is the very best in the forefront of Feyenoord. If he has a good day – and he usually does – he has a lot of threat at the ball.”
Willem van Hanegem, former Feyenoord player and coach
“I think Sinisterra is really, really good. Perhaps the best left winger in the Eredivisie," he told Voetbal Primeur.
