Sharp-eyed music fans could be enjoying an extra Good Friday thanks to a festival giveaway which sees 'gold tickets' hidden around Newcastle waiting to be found.
In Between Days, a new music festival coming to Times Square this summer, reveals that pairs of free tickets - worth more than £2,000 - are being placed in various venues around the city and those keen to take part in the Easter hunt can find clues to their whereabouts on its social media accounts from 10am this April 7.
The new outdoor festival was announced just last month and is set to play out over three days in May with a line-up including Happy Mondays; former lead singer of The Stone Roses, Ian Brown; Two Door Cinema Club; DMAs and The Wombats plus local favourites Andrew Cushin and Liam Fender. Further additions to the programme are yet to be revealed.

The free tickets will be dotted around some of the city's popular venues, says organiser Tokyo Live and, when the clues are shared on the event's Facebook, Instagram and Twitter accounts, those interested may have to set off quickly to be in with a chance of reaching the locations first. A spokesperson for In Between Days said: “The first social media post will go live at 10am on Good Friday.
"We wanted to do something a little bit special for Easter and do our own take on the Easter egg hunt. This is our gift. We hope everyone has a great time over the holidays and hopefully this will start things off in style for those that manage to snap them up."
