Ferne McCann's boyfriend Lorri Haines makes tearful apology over 'white powder video'

Ferne McCann’s boyfriend Lorri Haines broke down in tears as he apologised to her for dragging them both into scandal after a video featuring him and a bag of white powder went viral.

The 31-year-old former The Only Way Is Essex star has been documenting the life of herself and her four-year-old daughter Sunday – who she shares with jailed criminal ex Arthur Collins – in her show First Time Mum.

But her personal life made headlines out of her own control back in February when a video showing 31-year-old Lorri fooling around with white powder went viral.

In the clip, the businessman could be seen laughing and joking and taking a scoop of powder and raising it to his nose while a friend in the background could be heard shouting: "No, no ket. Put the ket down."

The incident provoked damaging headlines although Lorri insisted he was only ever joking in the video – but fans feared over Ferne’s romance, just weeks after they went official.

New scenes of First Time Mum showed Ferne and Lorri addressing the scandal.

Lorri is shown saying: “I just feel so guilty and that I'm a burden to you. How have I done this to you? You don't deserve this. I feel so guilty and I want to apologise to you.

“I feel like I've let you down. I've lost everything. I've come so far in my life to be a better person.

“I’ve done extensive amounts of therapy so to bring this to your doorstep is a punch in the face.”

The business man also wept in front of Ferne as he offered his grovelling apology.

Following the leak of the video back in February, Ferne came out swinging in defence of her man.

She told The Sun at the time: “It was something from his past that happened and it came out in the press. We were in the thick of filming, it's hard when you're in the eye of the storm and I've been there many times, that is the down side of being in the public eye.

“Something like this can happen and it's completely out of your control.

“Obviously it wasn't me, and I don't condone drug taking, but it was something that I had to deal with and we cover it in episode two. I've always been open and talked honestly, so of course that's what happens on the show.”

Ferne has certainly been unlucky in love.

In the past, she gushed about her love and dream of marrying Arthur Collins – before he destroyed their relationship by throwing acid onto a crowd of revellers at a nightclub in London in April 2017.

He was found guilty of crimes relating to the sickening incident and, that December, jailed for twenty years, with another five years on licence.

Ferne went on to deliver his child – who she recently revealed she named Sunday after a face cleansing product.

She explained on a podcast: “So the name Sunday was because I was using a face cleanser by the brand Sunday Riley. It was like, a clay mask.

“And I just thought like, you know, like many other make-up and beauty brands with a females first name and second name, you could probably think of some in your head. I just thought that was her name.

“And I was like; ‘That’s so nice! That is just such a lovely name!’”
