Ferne McCann has spoken for the first time about suffering a heartbreaking miscarriage last year. The former The Only Way is Essex star opened up in the latest episode of her ITVBe series, First Time Mum, as fans were shown the sweet moment she told her fiance Lorri Haines that she was expecting again.
Speaking in a VT, Ferne said: "We found out that I was pregnant, we were so excited and it just felt like the right time to expand our family." Then, during a couples' counselling session, Ferne, who revealed earlier this month that she is pregnant with her and Lorri's first child together, said: "Very early on, I, I ummm, we had, we had a miscarriage as well."
She then told the cameras: "I was five weeks and I started bleeding. I was devastated." Ferne explained how she scoured the internet looking for reassurance that she wasn't losing her baby. Sadly, she realised she was having an early miscarriage. "I was really, really upset. I think Lorri found it really hard to comprehend," she added.

The sad news comes after Ferne, 32, revealed earlier this month that she and 31-year-old Lorri are expecting a baby together. The star is already mum to five-year-old daughter Sunday, who she had with her ex Arthur Collins., while Lorri also has a son from a previous relationship.
Also during the latest episode of First Time Mum, which aired on Wednesday night (March 22), Ferne shared video footage of when she found out about her current pregnancy. A beaming Ferne told the camera: "I cannot believe I'm saying this out loud but we are having a baby! I've done a pregnancy test... and I can't, it's positive! This is really exciting news."
It then showed Lorri's reaction as he sweetly gushed: "I love you darling. I'm so excited, I can't wait!" Ferne then asked: "Were you shocked?" as he admitted: "I was but I was also very excited as well." Ferne then admitted: "I wasn't because we had the miscarriage, didn't we?"
Then talking in a VT, the reality star said: "Being pregnant now and experiencing a miscarriage two months ago... I knew that pregnancy wasn't right whereas now there's a huge difference. In my soul, I know that this is a healthy pregnancy. I can just feel it."
A preview for next week's episode, sees Ferne let the cameras in to her first scan. She is then seen telling her beloved Grandad Frank their happy baby news, while handing him an ultrasound picture. Confirming their pregnancy news with a OK! Magazine shoot, Ferne wrote on Instagram: "We are having a baby @lozzahaines. We have been bursting at the seams with happiness & so excited to officially share our lovely news with you."
And on Mother's Day on Sunday, Ferne shared her own message which included: "I still cannot believe I am going to be a mamma to another. I feel so incredible lucky celebrating today with Sunday & bump. Being a Mother is the toughest, most rewarding job in the world. She is my world. They are my world & I will give them my everything."
