Ferne McCann engaged to boyfriend Lorri Haines after whirlwind romance

Former TOWIE star Ferne McCann is engaged.

The reality star made the announcement on Instagram and shared a snap of her huge diamond ring shortly after boyfriend Lorri Haines popped the question.

"So happily ever afters do exist. I cannot wait to do forever with you baby," she wrote in the caption.

Ferne, 31, started dating the 30-year-old real estate agent, who lives in Dubai, in January this year.

Going public with their romance in February, Ferne told fans: "When you least expect it, you could meet someone who will completely change your life forever."

It's been a long road to happiness for Ferne, whose last relationship with model Jack Padgett ended in tears back in September.

The First Time mum star revealed at the time Jack had called time on their relationship because she wasn’t ‘on brand’ enough for him.

Before that Ferne dated Arthur Collins, with whom she shares daughter Sunday, now four.

The relationship was brought to an abrupt end when Collins was found guilty of a nightclub acid attack and sentenced to 20 years n jail.

The incident, which took place on the dance floor at Mangle E8 in Dalston in April 2017, left sixteen people with chemical burn injuries and three people temporarily blinded.

Ferne had announced her pregnancy weeks before.

Despite her past heartbreak, Ferne fell head over heels with Lorri and revealed they had discussed marriage and babies just weeks into their romance.

"[Marriage and kids] is definitely something we talk about all the time. Lorri’s the first person I can see having a future with, so those things often come up. And with one of my best friends Danielle [Armstrong] getting married this year – it’s happening all around us.

"It’s not just a dream – I feel like it is going to happen," she told OK!.

Lorri hit the headlines for all the wrong reasons in May this year, when he apologised to her for dragging them both into a scandal.

It came after Lorri was seen in a video fooling around with white powder, with the clip going viral.

In the clip, the businessman could be seen laughing and joking and taking a scoop of powder and raising it to his nose while a friend in the background could be heard shouting: "No, no ket. Put the ket down."

In scenes of Ferne's ITV show First Time Mum, the couple were seen addressing the controversy.

Lorri told the mum-of-one: “I just feel so guilty and that I'm a burden to you. How have I done this to you? You don't deserve this. I feel so guilty and I want to apologise to you.

“I feel like I've let you down. I've lost everything. I've come so far in my life to be a better person.

“I’ve done extensive amounts of therapy so to bring this to your doorstep is a punch in the face.”

The business man also wept in front of Ferne as he offered her a grovelling apology.

Ferne came out swinging in defence of her man.

She told The Sun at the time: “It was something from his past that happened and it came out in the press. We were in the thick of filming, it's hard when you're in the eye of the storm and I've been there many times, that is the down side of being in the public eye.

“Something like this can happen and it's completely out of your control.

“Obviously it wasn't me, and I don't condone drug taking, but it was something that I had to deal with and we cover it in episode two. I've always been open and talked honestly, so of course that's what happens on the show.”

Following the incident, Ferne reaffirmed her romance with Lorri by sharing a loved-up photo of them together.

“That missing piece… My soul mate I love you," Ferne gushed in the caption.

Since then the pair have continued to go from strength to strength, ahead of their engagement this weekend.
