Ferne McCann has confirmed that she is pregnant with her second child, after weeks of speculation. The First Time Mum star revealed that she and her fiancé Lorri are expecting with a magazine photoshoot.
The 32-year-old already has daughter Sunday from her relationship with ex Arthur Collins, and Lorri also has a son, Noah, from a previous relationship.
Earlier in the year, rumours circulated that the pair were expecting a child together, a year on from when they first started dating, however, they kept the news under wraps until now, writes The Mirror.
Ferne said that she and Lorri found out they were expecting following a trip to India. She told OK! magazine: "I knew I was pregnant – I just knew. All the tell-tale signs were there. I missed a period and I couldn’t even touch my boobs because they were so painful."
And when they got home, Ferne took a test. She recalled: "I just sat on the toilet with the door open and was like, ‘I knew it! It’s positive!’ It wasn’t this romantic, tears streaming-down-my-face thing. We were so happy. It wasn’t planned, but it wasn’t not planned. For us both being parents, they’re little miracles and it was such a positive moment and something to look forward to for us."
While Lorri added: "I was over the moon – I couldn’t believe it! I was like, ‘Give me the stick,’ and then I went and got another one. We jumped around in the hallway."
Despite keeping the news to themselves, it wasn't long before the story was leaked, which the pair said was very frustrating. Ferne said: "It’s always super annoying when something gets out there, but I experienced that with Sunday and I just didn’t want to have the same reaction.
"It’s still speculation until you’ve heard it from the horse’s mouth. Doing this shoot is our celebration."
The delighted parents decided that they would not find out the gender of their unborn baby but have discussed different baby names. Ferne joked that her man was "bringing nothing to the table" when it comes to names.
Lorri then laughed: "We were thinking about Wednesday or Thursday."
Ferne added: "We can’t have your average top 10 in the UK names. I love unusual, but not weird. I’m firing some names at Lorri and he’s like, ‘No, no.’ Sunday comes up with some really good names actually. I said, ‘What about if Mummy has a boy?’ And she said, ‘What about Jonathan?’ I really just want to include the children as much as possible, if they can have an input."
