Ahead of Fendi's Spring 2024 womenswear collection launch on February 8, the Italian fashion house revealed its latest advertising campaign inspired by the city of Rome. Captured by acclaimed fashion photographer Steven Meisel, the colorful ads draw on Fendi Spring 1999 motifs to tell stories of Roman women.
Featuring Angelina Kendall, Anok Yai, Imaan Hammam and others, the campaign blends muted neutrals with bold yellows and oranges. A nod to the maison's signature color palette and the colors of Rome.
"In Rome, there is an elegance in ease and not caring what anybody else thinks — that is real luxury," explains Fendi Artistic Director Kim Jones. "In this collection, I wanted to reflect that. It is about women who dress for themselves and their own lives, I see it with Silvia and Delfina all of the time. It's not about the spectacle of being looked at but the reality of wearing and the confidence and chicness that comes with it. It's not about being something but being someone."
