Keith Turi, acting associate administrator for response and recovery, reassured the public during a press briefing on Monday that FEMA is well-equipped to handle the response efforts for both storms.
Turi emphasized that despite previous concerns about the agency's disaster relief fund running low earlier this year, Congress has since allocated additional funding from FEMA's fiscal year 2025 budget. This infusion of resources has bolstered FEMA's capacity to respond effectively to the ongoing emergencies.
