Federal safety regulators are telling American families to stop using a plastic slide playset immediately and throw it away, after a 17-month-old child died in an entrapment incident involving the product.
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission issued the warning on August 13, 2026, and the wording is unusually blunt. The agency is not asking consumers to return the playset for a refund, wait for a repair kit, or contact a retailer. It is telling them to dispose of the product, and specifically not to sell it or give it away. According to the CPSC warning, the manufacturer, Wenzhou Yidian Amusement Equipment Co., Ltd. of China, has not agreed to an acceptable recall.
