Residents fed up with speeding motorists have taken matters into their own hands by creating a fake speed camera.
Lizzie Coombes, 56, who had the idea with fellow local Cluny Macpherson, 60, said they hoped to start a "conversation" about how people drive on their busy street. Residents wanted to stop drivers going over the 30mph speed limit, and with no restrictions in place, they came up with their own method.
Wales Online reports the residents used a yellow wooden box to make a fake camera- measuring 1ft (35cm) wide and sitting atop a 10ft (30m) metal pole - is clearly visible to passing traffic that pass by Cluny's garden. But instead of catching speeding motorists, it's actually a nesting box for blue tits and was designed for free by a local men’s group.
