Fed up Edinburgh bar and bistro says 'male yobs' keep targeting new business

The bar & bistro which is situated at 1 Waverley Place in Edinburgh’s city centre have alleged that the male in the CCTV image was responsible for destroying a planter that cost hundreds of pounds as well as the plant that it contained.

The incident is understood to have taken place at around 3.38am on Sunday February 27.

This latest act of vandalism they say follows a period where they have been targeted with graffiti and each time the culprits are male vandals.

All in all the company has spent well over £500 rectifying the criminal behaviour of “male yobs.”

A spokesperson for Noon Edinburgh said: “Can you identify this man, he damaged our property at 3:38am on Sunday.

“Sadly since we opened a new business during the pandemic, male yobs (not women) have defaced our walls with graffiti slogans (each time we must pay a painter £250 to repaint entire walls, which mean nothing) and last night this yob smashed a £350 plant box and plant.”

It is understood that Police Scotland were not contacted regarding the incident.
