Fears for jobs as 'Scottish tapas' restaurant goes into liquidation

Major uncertainty surrounds the future of a Dunfermline restaurant which has entered voluntary liquidation.

Located in Fife Leisure Park, Christie's Scottish Tapas opened its doors in 2022 in the building which used to be Bella Italia.

It was the second Christie's to open, following the company’s original Falkirk restaurant which has also entered liquidation.

It’s bad news for fans of Scottish-inspired items such as haggis bon-bons, and Irn-Bru chicken wings.

When opening in 2022, the company said that it would create 20 new jobs, and workers could face losing employment as a result of liquidation.

According to Companies House, Christies Restaurants Dunfermline Ltd has its status listed as being in liquidation, a term used when a business looks to sell its assets to pay off debt.
