A 10-year-old girl died after collapsing at school as her devastated family say she was "beautiful inside and out".
Rai-Lèyah Parveen Saddique was a "genuinely good girl" according to relatives who have created a fundraiser in the hopes of making a memorial bench for the schoolgirl and to take stress off her grieving parents.
Rai-Lèyah, from West Yorkshire, collapsed at her school in Wakefield on Thursday 10 November 2022, reports Yorkshire Live.
She was immediately rushed to Pinderfields Hospital in Wakefield and then to Leeds General Infirmary, where she tragically died in the early hours of Monday 14 November, aged just 10.
News of the schoolgirl's passing shook the community, as hundreds of people attended her funeral in November.
Now family members have paid tribute to the beloved girl, who was the eldest of three.
Describing her niece, auntie Leanne said: "Rai-Lèyah was the kindest, sweetest & funniest girl you could ever hope to meet. She was so loved by all who knew her.
"She was full of energy and joy living life to the fullest. She was always throwing herself about tumbling around showing off her fab gymnastics skills.
"Rai-Lèyah was fearless in racing the boys and being competitive. She embodied the spirit of inclusivity without even realising it.
"Fly high our angel - until the day you are reunited with your loved ones. God bless you sweetheart."
Following the tragic death, members of her family set up a fundraiser to help raise money for a memorial bench and to take some stress off her parents.
Her auntie is also hoping to raise £3,000.
Leanne and her sister Lisa are taking part in Dry January and finishing the challenge with a 10k run, dedicated to Rai.
Leanne said the loss was devastating and Rai had a huge impact on all those around her.
In the fundraiser, Leanne wrote: "My sister Lisa and I are doing Dry January with a 10k run finisher! We want to dedicate the challenge to our precious niece who sadly passed away on 14/11/22 at age 10 after collapsing at school.
"The devastation of losing such a precious princess at such a young age has had a massive impact on so many people who loved, adored, and cherished her."
The fundraiser will raise money to send to Rai-Lèyah's mum, Natalie, her brother, sister and nanna.
