The FDA has approved the first over-the-counter tablet that combines acetaminophen with naproxen sodium, and the reason it deserves careful reading is not the convenience. It is that millions of people already take both drugs separately without tracking how much of each they have had.
Tylenol with Naproxen, made by Kenvue, was approved on July 24. Each tablet contains 325 milligrams of acetaminophen and 110 milligrams of naproxen sodium, and the labeled dose is two tablets every 12 hours, delivering 650 milligrams of acetaminophen and 220 milligrams of naproxen sodium per dose.
