NEW DELHI: FC Cincinnati prevailed 1-0 against Inter Miami on Sunday, sealing their status as one of the league's dominant forces this season. The match saw the eagerly awaited return of global football icon Lionel Messi, but it was ultimately FC Cincinnati who emerged victorious.

Inter Miami (9-17-6, 33 points) entered the contest with their playoff aspirations hanging by a thread. However, the loss, coupled with CF Montreal's win over the Portland Timbers, put an end to their postseason dreams.
