The club confirmed the departure of Ilkay Gundogan back to Manchester City, despite having two years remaining on his contract. Following this, defender Mika Faye was sold to Rennes for $12 million, with Barcelona set to receive 30% of any future transfer fee and having the option to buy him back for $28 million if he excels in France.
Continuing their transfer activity, Barcelona revealed the loan of forward Vitor Roque to Real Betis until June 2025, with an option for an additional year. Roque, who joined Barcelona a year ago, played 16 games and scored two goals during his time at the club. With limited playing time available due to competition from Robert Lewandowski and Pau Victor, the loan move provides Roque with the opportunity to gain more experience and adapt to the Spanish league.
