Former FBoy Island Australia contestant Riccardo Valenza has been charged with more than 30 offences, including rape and sexual assault, after allegedly engaging with women on social media before assaulting them over the course of many years.

Valenza, who appeared on the 2023 season of the reality dating show, is accused of soliciting sexual activities for money via social media between July 2023 and November 2025.

Police allege the Queensland man then proceeded to groom the women — aged between 26 and 35 — and assault them. Acting Senior Sergeant Tim Harris alleged all the offences took place on the Sunshine Coast.

“The [man] used social media platforms to reach out to the victims on multiple occasions. They were not known to him, but he groomed them in a manner to form a relationship,” Harris alleged, per the Sydney Morning Herald

Valenza now faces 31 charges, including 11 counts of rape, seven counts of using a carriage device to menace and harass, six counts of stalking, two counts of sexual assault, and administering a stupefying drug.

Police said they began investigating the case “over the course of the last few months”, during which time they identified 11 alleged victims. Harris also called for anyone who might have additional claims about Valenza to come forward.

“My message is, whilst our investigations are continuing, if there are any other persons in our community that may believe they are victims of this male person, please reach out to police,” he said.

Harris said the case is a reminder to be vigilant with their social media activity, saying it’s a “platform where offending can easily occur”.

“We urge people to be vigilant with their activities online,” he added.

Valenza was remanded in custody ahead of a court appearance in April.

FBoy Island Australia aired for two seasons from 2023 before it announced its cancellation last year.
