The father of a murdered toddler has spoken of the “unbearable pain” of his daughter’s death as her stepfather was found guilty of her brutal killing.

Lola James died in hospital four days after she suffered “catastrophic” brain injuries in the early hours of 17 July 2020. She was found to have sustained more than 100 bruises and scratches to her body, and damage to both her eyes.
