Nigel Stonehouse, known as Nige, was diagnosed with kidney cancer in May but it has already spread to his lungs and he has been told he likely has just a matter of weeks to live.
The 58-year-old has made it his “dying wish” to make it to Glastonbury this week, even if only for a few hours, after already purchasing a ticket.
A GoFundMe page - set up to pay for a helicopter to transport Mr Stonehouse there and back - has raised more than £15,000 which is already more than the original £12,000 target needed to book the helicopter.
Now Fatboy Slim has called on his supporters to donate after being contacted by a friend of Nige.
“Folks. I’ve been contacted by the friend of a terminally ill man who wants to go to Glasto 1 last time. He’s so poorly with cancer they’re going to have to fly him in by air ambulance,” he wrote on Twitter.

Fundraiser Lizzie Beggs said Mr Stonehouse is a Glastonbury veteran who had planned to attend the festival before the cancer spread to his lungs.
“Nige has taken a sudden turn and has been told that not only is his cancer incurable, but it is progressing fast and is aggressive. He has been told he likely has a matter of weeks left,” she wrote on GoFundMe.
The palliative care team at North Tees Hospital caring for Mr Stonehouse contacted site managers at Glastonbury who advised they would help if they could, Ms Beggs said.
She added: “Unfortunately there is no space left in the accessible areas (Nige has a general sale ticket) but they will facilitate entry via the accessible car park.
“We also realise that even if we raise the funds Nige may be too unwell to get there, in which case the funds will be donated to Glastonbury charities.”
Crowdsourcing from almost 1,000 donors has raised more than £15,000 in just two days.
One anonymous donor paid £1,000 which has been the top donation.
Headliners at Glastonbury festival this year include Sir Paul McCartney, Billie Eilish and Kendrick Lamar.
But Rail, Maritime, and Transport Union (RMT) strikes are bound to disrupt travel plans for thousands of festivalgoers heading to Pilton, Somerset.
Those intending to take the train to Glastonbury on either Wednesday or Thursday should take extra care in planning on getting there.
Temperatures are expected to be in the late teens, with some rain as well as sun foreacast for punters.
Glastonbury Festival runs from Wednesday until Sunday.
