Maryland State Police are currently investigating a tragic bus crash that occurred early Sunday morning on Interstate 95 in Harford County. The incident resulted in one fatality and left 23 individuals injured.
According to a preliminary investigation report released by state police, the bus lost control for unknown reasons and collided with a guardrail around 6 a.m. The crash, which involved no other vehicles, took place on the northbound lanes of I-95.
Tragically, one passenger was pronounced dead at the scene, while the remaining 23 individuals, including the driver, were rushed to a local hospital for medical treatment.
Authorities, including police, troopers, and sheriff’s deputies, swiftly responded to the scene of the accident. The Maryland State Police Crash Team has taken charge of the investigation to determine the root cause of the crash.
As a result of the ongoing investigation, all northbound lanes of I-95 at mile marker 77 have been closed to traffic. At this time, no charges have been filed in connection with the incident.
